Full Membership:

The Association of Five Element Acupuncturists (AFEA) is a non-profit, community led organisation and a full member of the British Acupuncture Foundation (BAF). As an AFEA member you will automatically receive practitioner benefits through the BAF, as well as being listed with us as a trusted practitioner and access to any promotions or workshops run by us, all whilst building the Five-Element community.

An annual, non-refundable membership fee of £75 is required to maintain the upkeep of AFEA. This will be charged at the point of application and will continue to bill annually. One month’s notice is required should you wish to cancel your membership.

Membership is for anyone practising Five-Element acupuncture as their primary choice of practice and has graduated from a college that teaches Five-Element acupuncture in the Worsley Tradition.

As part of your application, please ensure you provide us with a copy of your qualification along with evidence of where you obtained your Lic.Ac. Should these references not be met we will withdraw your membership. You must also consent to the use of your information within the AFEA organisation and website to display you as a registered member.

Student Membership:

An annual, non-refundable student membership fee of £10 is required to maintain the upkeep of AFEA. This will be charged at the point of application and will continue to bill annually. One month’s notice is required should you wish to cancel your membership.

Membership is for anyone studying Five-Element acupuncture as their primary choice of practice and is studying in a college that teaches Five-Element acupuncture in the Worsley Tradition.

You will not be able to register as a full member until you are fully qualified, however please see below how you will be able to use your student membership.

  • AFEA Logo can be used on websites, emails and social media as well as using the letters SMAFEA (Student member of AFEA) after your name.
  • BAF Logo: you can use “Student Registrant of a BAF Member Organisation” logo on websites, emails and social media.
  • AFEA is a full member of the British Acupuncture Federation (BAF) and provides AFEA members the benefits provided by BAF
  • Insurance discounts: you qualify for our specially discounted student BAF Affinity Insurance Scheme.
  • Make a difference – you can put your ideas directly to both the AFEA board and the BAF board via your student AFEA representative.
  • Discounted rates for extracurricular workshops organised by AFEA
  • Discounts via our partner providers on equipment and services.
