  1. About AFEA
    The Association for Five-Element Acupuncturists (AFEA) exists to support, connect and promote practitioners and students of Five-Element acupuncture through professional membership, community, education and shared standards.By registering as a member of AFEA, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
  1. Membership Eligibility
    Membership is open to
  • Qualified practitioners of Five-Element acupuncture
  • Graduates of Yellow Path and other recognised training pathways (subject to approval where required)
  • AFEA reserves the right to approve, refuse or revoke membership where appropriate.
  1. Membership Fees
  • Current membership pricing is displayed at the point of sign-up
  • Membership fees are non-refundable once paid, except in exceptional circumstances at AFEA’s discretion
  • AFEA reserves the right to amend membership pricing with reasonable notice
  1. Member Directory & Professional Listings
    Where applicable, members may be included in the AFEA practitioner directory.
    By joining AFEA, you agree that:
  • Your professional details may be displayed publicly within the directory
  • You are responsible for ensuring your information is accurate and up to date
  • AFEA may remove or amend listings that are inaccurate, misleading or inappropriate
  1. Professional Conduct
    Members are expected to conduct themselves professionally, ethically and respectfully towards:
  • Clients and patients
  • Other practitioners and students
  • AFEA staff and representatives
  • The wider acupuncture and wellbeing community
  1. Insurance & Professional Responsibility
    Practitioner members are responsible for maintaining appropriate professional insurance, qualifications and compliance relevant to their own practice and location.
    AFEA membership does not constitute a licence to practise acupuncture.
  2. ARA Access & Third-Party Organisations
    Where membership includes access to benefits or discounted registration with external organisations such as the Acupuncture Regulatory Authority (ARA), those services remain subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant organisation.
    AFEA is not responsible for the policies, decisions or services of third-party organisations.
  3. Communications
    By joining AFEA, you agree to receive relevant membership communications including:
  • Membership updates
  • Professional news
  • Events and training opportunities
  • Renewal reminders
  1. Data Protection & Privacy
    AFEA will store and process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.
    Member information will not be sold to third parties.

  2. Changes to Membership TermsAFEA may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updated versions will be published on the website and continued membership constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
